This blog is primarily going to track my experiment in using a variety of herbal and non-prescription medications recommended by Dr. Oz on his national television show. I hope to be able to post pictures and some results of this experiment.
I am going to begin with a medication I got today called Silica Complex. The desired effect of this medication is to promote hair, skin and nail health and to support joint structures.
I am beginning with hopes that this will improve my nails. This is what they look like now. They are very brittle and it is difficult to get them to grow very long.
You can also see from the picture that I have some arthritis in my joints. It is becoming worse as I age. My hips, knees, and feet are more prone to flairs than anything. I have been able to help my feet and knees by the use of Orthaheel and Crocs shoes. My hips are more difficult to treat. I currently take Meloxicam, a prescription medication for my arthritis pain, also. If I don't take it, I am uncomfortable continuously. I am hoping the addition of the Silica Complex will add more relief.
The suggested dosage is 1 to 3 times daily. I will begin with one and increase based on the results after 2-3 weeks.
